The First Doctor Visit

Violet had her first doctor's visit today. Everything checked out okay, and she's up to 6 pounds, 15 ounces, from her all-time low of 6 pounds, 14 ounces on Thursday. Here's a few pictures of her during the visit:



As you can see from this last picture, she's a cool little cucumber.

Birth!!

Violet Elizabeth Sjolander was born Tuesday, June 12th at 10:58 AM. She weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces, and was 20 3/4 inches tall. She was 10 days early. Want the full story? Of course you do!

Carly was scheduled to be induced at 9:45 AM that day, so we were up late readying the house, repacking, and generally being excited. We laid down to sleep at around 2 AM, but didn't fall asleep. An hour later, at 3, Carly's water broke. So that was the official start of labor. By 3:30 AM, we were at the ER at Saint Vincent, then 7 1/2 long hours later, Violet was born!
